I went to London with the Young Women's Trust!

Image
A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to travel to London to meet other ambassadors for Work it Out, the life coaching service I used just before Christmas. If you've read my previous blog about what this service is all about then you'll have some general idea of how much it meant to me to be able to meet other amazing women who have been through a similar experience. However if you're not familiar with Work it out, here are a few things you should know about this brilliant service: - It's a free counseling service run by the Young Women's trust, for women aged 16-30 - You will be given advice and coaching over any thing you may be struggling with, whether that's looking for employment or just some general problems that seem to be stopping you from achieving your goals - You have a total of 6 sessions over the phone, all an hour long to discuss everything that's on your mind - You decide when to have the sessions,...

How I practice Witch Craft

Image
Be honest with yourself. You've probably wondered at some point or another, that I'm a devil worshipper because you know I'm a witch. Maybe you're not that ignorant. Or maybe you're just unsure, because you've never researched into what witch craft is actually all about. You may be wondering why people still practice all forms of it now, and why I do. What do we gain from it? We can't seriously believe in magic can we? We can't honestly believe that the alignment of stars and planets, that tea leaves or crystal gazing can have any kind of effect on our lives? For some of us witches, that is exactly right. And so in this blog post, I wanted to delve into how witch craft has become a huge part of my life, and how I practice it. All I ask is that you have come here with an open mind.  ðŸ”®- And for the record, I do not in any way worship the Devil. I worship myself. 🔮                               ...

How Work it Out helped me

Image
I'd been having a really bad time leading up to Christmas. As a stay at home mum, I was beginning to question my life choices, and what other options I had instead of being a full time mum. My choices are limited anyway, as my eldest is in school and my youngest isn't old enough for free nursery hours. I'd trawled the internet ceaselessly trying to find some part time work that I could fit in with being a mum, but found nothing.  Later that day, exhausted and fed up of everything, I bawled my eyes out to my best friend. And that's when she told me about the Work It Out service. She had briefly mentioned it before, telling me about her life coach and the phone calls they had where they discussed certain aspects of her life that she felt were difficult too. She explained that it was a free service, and that maybe I should look into it for some guidance and counselling. In their words; "Work It Out - Coaching is a free service for young women aged 16-30 that ...

Why I left Facebook

Image
If you've been paying any attention to the news, you'll know that Facebook have been caught red handed harvesting and improperly sharing personal data from around 50 million Americans. Here's a quote from The Guardian: 'The Facebook CEO broke his five-day silence on the scandal that has enveloped his company this week in a Facebook post acknowledging that the policies that allowed the misuse of data were “a breach of trust between  Facebook  and the people who share their data with us and expect us to protect it”. “We have a responsibility to protect your data, and if we can’t then we don’t deserve to serve you,” Zuckerberg wrote. He noted that the company has already changed some of the rules that enabled the breach, but added: “We also made mistakes, there’s more to do, and we need to step up and do it.”'  (Full article here -)  https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/mar/21/mark-zuckerberg-response-facebook-cambridge-analytica I just want to say,...

The places I've been

Image
I've only ever had 3 proper holidays abroad in my life time, which I feel like at 27 isn't that much. I have traveled a lot, and moved house a lot (6 times in 5 years 😱) but when it comes to overseas, unfortunately I don't have a very long list of destinations. However, the places I have been are some of the most historical and beautiful places on Earth, and I'm insanely lucky and blessed to have visited these places with the people I love the most. Almost all of you who answered my poll questions on Instagram yesterday had voted for me to write about where I've traveled to, so here goes. 💙 Paris (1998 & 2007) Paris was so nice I went twice! 😅 The first time was with my mum and her friend when I was 7 years old. We stayed on an overnight coach, got the ferry from Dover and arrived in Paris God knows how many hours later. All I can remember from the coach trip, was almost completing my 100 page colouring book, eating copious amounts ...

Why I wanted to become an Author

Image
The first time I ever wrote a story, I was in Year 2 of Primary school. I can't remember if there was a particular theme, but the whole class had to do it. I decided that mine was going to be about aliens.  Every weekend I slept at my Grandma's house. And because her house was quite high up on a hill, I could see most of the town from the window. I would stand there at night and stare at the stars, the sky and the aeroplanes, imagining all sorts of different people sat in them. And watching cars drive slowly down the motorways on top of the hills in the distance, their headlights twinkling from miles away. I was always astounded that I could see these cars driving but that they couldn't see me, even if they tried. I had this dream one night that some aliens came down in a spaceship, right outside my bedroom window and took me away. There was nothing sinister about it, in fact I had a really nice time. They flew me around, letting me look at the town zooming beneath u...
